










The Lee Paper Mill Factory in Vicksburg MI, was opened in 1905 and operated through the great depression. The mill focused on its employees and work was spread around so many of the employees could bring home a paycheck. Eighty percent of the mills production was directed towards the war effort during World War II. The company was bought out by Fox River Paper Company which announced its closing on March 1st, 2001. Since then it has been abandoned until the summer of 2016 where a group of NYU students came to Michigan to shoot a miniature movie using the paper mill as the main setting. I was able to be a part of the shoot, and when finished, was able to explore the old building I had been driving past for the last 20 years. These photos are just a preview of the rest to come...
